Dr. Zach Collins, assistant professor of Tuba and Euphonium, and Anthony O’Toole, senior Theory and Composition student at IUP, have recently published works for tuba and euphonium through Cimarron Music Press.

O’Toole’s “Scarborough Variations” and “Shake and Bake” (a setting of the popular Shaker Hymn “Simple Gifts”) for tuba/euphonium quartet are now available from Cimarron Music Press. Both works were commissioned by the Crimson Tuba Quartet, an IUP student tuba/euphonium quartet. Cimarron Music Press will soon be publishing Anthony O’Toole’s “Concerto for Tuba,” “Concerto for Euphonium,” “Three Miniatures for Tuba,” and “Chronicle for Solo Tuba.”

Dr. Collins had two arrangements and one composition accepted for publication. Cimarron Music Press has published his arrangements of the “Allegretto” from Symphony No. 7 by L.V. Beethoven (tuba/euphonium octet) and “Cruda Amarilli” by Claudio Monteverdi (tuba/euphonium quintet). Dr. Collins’ original work for tuba/euphonium trio, “Chaconne and Dance,” is also available from Cimarron Music Press.
